MF+CO Honey

The sweet story behind our local raw honey…

OUR DELICIOUS JARS OF RAW HONEY

There’s something special about knowing exactly where your food comes from, especially when it’s as golden and delicious as our very own raw honey. At Moveable Feast & Co, our honey is as local as it gets. The hives sit in Wayne, Illinois, nestled beside our restaurant’s lush vegetable garden. That means every jar captures a taste of our garden’s ever-changing blooms and flavors.

This season, our bees have been busy pollinating near the pumpkin patch, and we can’t wait to experience what that means for the flavor profile of their latest harvest. Each season brings subtle differences—spring’s floral notes, summer’s sweetness, autumn’s earthiness—making every batch unique and connected to our land.

Beyond its delicious taste, raw honey offers an array of health benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants, naturally antibacterial, and can help soothe sore throats or boost energy when you need a natural pick-me-up. But perhaps one of the best secrets about local raw honey is its potential to help with seasonal allergies. Since the bees gather nectar from the same local plants that contribute to your sniffles, small daily servings of local honey can help your body build tolerance to local allergens, meaning fewer trips to the allergy aisle.

So next time you stop by Moveable Feast, pick up a jar of our raw honey. You’ll not only enjoy a sweet, pure taste of Wayne but support local pollinators and the vibrant ecosystem right in our backyard.

Seasonal Dishes That Inspire

How Seasonal Ingredients Change with the Seasons

At Moveable Feast + Co., the menu is a living reflection of the changing seasons. As each season arrives, the bounty of available produce shifts. Summer brings vine-ripened tomatoes and sweet corn, while fall welcomes earthy root vegetables, winter squash, and fresh kale. By building our “specials” dishes around what’s currently being harvested, the plate bursts with ingredients at their peak of freshness, flavor, and nutrition. This enhances taste and ensures the meals served are more vibrant and healthful, inviting you to savor the natural variety throughout the year.

The Grain Bowl: Seasonal Ingredients, Elevated

The Grain Bowl is a showcase of autumn’s harvest, perfectly capturing our seasonal and farm-to-table philosophy. Featuring a nourishing base of gluten-free black rice and red quinoa, this bowl gets its heartiness and rich flavor from roasted butternut squash and shishito peppers, both in their prime during the fall harvest. Creamy avocado and just-harvested greens add freshness, while our zesty dill cashew crema ties it all together. For a heartier meal, guests can choose to top their bowl with chicken, salmon, shrimp, or steak. Each bite truly celebrates ingredients picked at their peak, offering a delicious taste of the season’s best from Feast Farms.

All About MF & CO

Moveable Feast & Co. first began in a quaint little shop in the charming downtown Geneva, IL. Original owners, Matt and Kim Lennert, had a dream of owning a small cafe and catering business that made customers feel valued, loved, and well-fed. Matt and Kim valued their customer relationships and strived to provide delish whole foods for anyone who walked through the door. From the iconic Fairytale Cookie to the refreshing Power Tuna Salad, along with their guaranteed incredible catering, Matt and Kim brought the best of the best to their customers.

And one day, their Brownie became famous as it was featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things Show. Customers from all over the nation began ordering the dense, chocolatey brownies that were considered irresistible and worth praise. Lines down the block began to form, and Moveable Feast & Co. was now a dream destination for all.

After more than a decade of making their dream a reality, Matt and Kim felt the pull toward a new adventure. They relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina, where they opened Spoon Fed Kitchen and Bakeshop, quickly earning a glowing reputation in their coastal community for exceptional catering and heartfelt hospitality. Confident in their decision, they passed the Moveable Feast & Co. torch to Ashley and Matt, a husband-and-wife team who shared their passion for faith, family, food, and community.

Ashley and Matt did just that. They grew the business by opening CO251 and opening a restaurant and cafe location in Wheaton, IL, all while keeping the values that Moveable Feast & Co. was built on. Soon enough, they began planting large gardens on their property, providing fresh organic produce for the restaurant, to feed their customers the best quality food they could get, and bring the ultimate farm-to-table experience to their guests.

Today, Moveable Feast & Co. continues to thrive at its Wheaton location on Hale Street. But what we offer is more than a menu—it’s an experience rooted in family values, community connection, and the belief that food has the power to bring people together. We consider it a blessing from God to serve in this way, nourishing both body and soul, one shared meal at a time.
